If a ballot is not accepted by the AccuVote OS machine, the Machine Judge must:

1. Call the County Clerk’s office
2. Store the ballot in the side/auxiliary bin of the ballot box

If a voter over-votes, the Machine Judge should give the voter the choice of:

• Going back to the Election Judges table and asking for the ballot to be spoiled and a replacement ballot issued

–or-

• Having the Machine Judge unlock the ballot box retaining door and holding in the YES button to force the AccuVote to accept the ballot, while the voter feeds the ballot into the machine
