Regularly performed ballot balancing facilitates a quick and accurate reconciliation process after the polls close.

To balance the ballots, make sure the total count on the AccuVote OS tabulator plus the total count on the AccuVote TSX machine equals the number of applications spindled for the precinct.

OS count + TSX count = spindled applications

The Judge who spindles the applications should balance the ballots every hour and monitor the number of remaining ballots during the election day.

• Inventory ballots every hour
• Call County Clerk’s Office for additional ballots, if needed
• Include any additional ballots on the Official Ballot Record form
